Today, 7 men gathered in the gloom to remember, honor, and memorialize the events that took place 17 years ago on this day. Here is how it went.

Mosey with 20# rucks on to the stairs behind the youth center

11 sets of stairs (up and down = 2) x 20 steps= 220 steps (representing 110 flights of stairs in each tower)

Partner up at the basketball court
With ruck’s partner 1 does thrusters while partner 2 does lunge walk down the court and back counting each lunge. Do a combined total of 110 thrusters and 110 lunges in remembrance of the 110 flights of stairs in each tower keeping in mind the fire fighters who ran in to the building to help people.

UNITED AIRLINES FLIGHT 175 (hit the second tower)- 175 ruck swings. Mosey to the end of the court and back if you need a break.

-19 men hijacked 4 planes bound for the west coast
-A total of 2,977 people were killed in NYC, Washington DC, and PA
-343 were NYC Firefighters
-23 were NYC police
-37 were officers of Port Authority
-Victims ranged in age from 2 to 85
-184 were killed at the pentagon
-40 Passengers and crew members were aboard UA Flight 93 and died when the plane crashed in a field in PA.
